The overall remodeling market continues to hold steady despite the current challenges in the residential new construction market. Overall remodeling industry expenditures hit $327 billion by year end 2007. The replacement segment of the home improvement industry accounts for a good share of the projects undertaken, as well as a significant share of material expenditures.
